Academy Information

About Harris Academy Tottenham

We are an all-through school which is based on an ethos of excellence, encouraging students to fulfil our high expectations through a dedicated and committed approach. We are a school that works towards an ambitious knowledge rich curriculum where we see knowledge as power.

We value scholarship and want our young people to see themselves as geographers, historians, and scientists. The Harris Tottenham curriculum intentionally values the scholarship of traditional subject areas in their pursuit of truth and meaning. In doing so the teachers tending to the curriculum consider the disciplinary nature of their subject domain first, distilling from this to schemes of work and individual lessons.

At Harris Academy Tottenham we recognise that improving educational outcomes is the biggest way we can positively impact our students’ futures.  We take the term ‘educational’ in its most broad sense: this means more than just a set of results. It includes a child’s intellectual development, but also their social and emotional development, citizenship and responsibility, happiness and success.

Academy Ethos

At Harris Academy Tottenham, we instil an ethos of hard work, dedication and commitment to learning, through our Academy values. These are:

  • To ENDEAVOUR is to strive for your goals, through maintaining the highest expectations of ourselves.

  • To EXCEL is to achieve your full potential, through mastery of concepts and an ambition to be the best you can be.
