Students and staff from Harris Academy St. John’s Wood speak to BBC London News about Black History Month

As Harris academies across London celebrate Black History Month, students and staff from Harris Academy St. John’s Wood were interviewed by BBC London News about what this year's event means to them following the Black Lives Matter protests.

Teachers from the academy discuss how they are ensuing black history is taught year-round by making long-term changes across all subjects. This includes teaching the works of black playwrights across genres and historical periods in Drama and giving lessons on the civil rights movement within Britain in History.
