GCSE Results 2023

News & Events Back

Congratulations to the five thousand students in the Harris Federation who received their GCSE results this week.

Despite a national fall in GCSE pass grades, and a return to 2019 standards, the attainment of students at Harris academies is above that in 2019, and overall progress made is very high.

The percentage of Harris students passing GCSE with grade 4+ (equivalent to the old C grade) is 75.5%, and 5.5% more than the 2019 average. We also had 165 students who achieved 7+ (equivalent to A and A*) in every subject.

We spent the day at Harris Academy Rainham, and you can watch the highlights from the day in our video.

This year's cohort of students have had a very disrupted time in their education, almost all from communities that faced the greatest hardship during lockdown and Covid. Praising these young people, Sir Dan Moynihan, Chief Executive said, "That their attainment is above the 2019 score is a testament to their endurance and hard work, and to the great work of the staff teaching and supporting them".

Congratulations to all of our students who received results and we wish them the best of luck in their next steps.
