What sets the Harris Federation apart?
We have consistently been able to transform the schools that join our federation, some of which had been failing for generations beforehand. In doing so, we have focused on creating supportive, structured and impactful places to work for teachers, leaders and support staff.
With 49 academies all within commutable distance of each other, our employees can easily access a collaborative network of Principals, mentors and subject/phase specialists who can help them develop their careers.
At Harris, teams are always encouraged to innovate, try new things and to do what suits the education of the children and teenagers we serve. The independent Education Policy Institute ranks Harris as the top performing academy trust for pupil progress, with 79% of our cohort meeting the expected standard in Key Stage 2 in reading, writing and mathematics combined (national average is 64%).
