What are your favourite things about working at Harris Academy South Norwood?

My favourite things about Harris Academy South Norwood are the strong relationships that students and teachers have and the sense of community.  

What is your favourite thing about working at the Harris Federation?

One of my favourite things about working at the Harris Federation is the opportunity to network with teachers from the same subject area.   

How have you been supported to develop during your ECT year?

I have been supported by a mentor this year and last year, as well as a supportive department. The staff at the school are helpful, when I first joined everyone was very forthcoming with help and advice.   

What has been the highlight of your ECT journey?

I would say my highlights so far was the ECT Year 2 in general, because in the ECT year 1 you are sometimes second guessing yourself as it’s the first time you may have done something. However, when you get into year 2 you are a lot more confident, you have already built relationships with students and teachers in the school, allowing you to thrive.   

What would you say to someone considering a role at Harris Academy South Norwood?

I would say if you are looking for a school with a community based spirit, helpful staff, and a strong leadership team, I would definitely recommend Harris Academy South Norwood.
