Building a Federation that reflects the world we live in
We recognise we’re on a lifelong journey of learning and growing with the communities we work with. This is why we launched the Diverse Leaders Programme, an initiative designed to grow the confidence of BAME colleagues and encourage them to apply for leadership and headship positions.
We hope to continue leading the way in the discussions around the importance of BAME school leadership and recognising the value this provides in the form of strong role models for our young people.
We've been running the Diverse Leaders Programme since 2016 to tackle this issue. It is open to teachers from around London and aims to equip BAME colleagues with the confidence to take their next steps in their careers – whether that’s applying for senior leadership or headship positions.
