3,000 fresh meals delivered to Harris families for the Christmas holidays

Featured News / Midweek Spotlight Back

With thanks to the amazing generosity of the global investment management firm Barings, nearly 3,000 frozen meals have been delivered to the most disadvantaged Harris Federation pupils so that they are guaranteed fresh, healthy and delicious food for the Christmas holidays.

Barings’ initiative is in support of the Thomas Franks Foundation, which has been delivering meals and other supplies to people in need throughout the pandemic. The meals, which comprise sausage and mash, and bean chilli and rice, were given to families on the last day of term to take home and use over the holidays.

The ability for parents and carers to serve hot and nutritious food to their children over the holidays, whatever their circumstances at home, will transform Christmas for our families most in need.

Thank you to everyone at Barings for your wonderful support!
