A Level Results 2018 Rss

Posted on: August 20th 2018

2018 was a fantastic year for sixth form outcomes across the Harris Federation.

We maintained our year on year performance, despite tougher new A Levels.  With over 3000 entries and a 99% pass rate Harris Sixth Form averaged a B grade overall at A level.

A number of our students took Advanced Vocational courses and the average grade was a Distinction.

A record 24% of our students have won places at Russell Group universities, about twice the national average.

This includes at least 23 places at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard. Many of these students have overcome significant disadvantage to win these places, including one student who only learned to speak English when he arrived in this country aged 13 but will study History at Oxford, and at least six who are eligible for the Pupil Premium grant.

Students and staff from our federated Sixth Form were delighted to receive a surprise visit from Stormzy when they came in to collect their results – you can read more about this here.
