Harris Wellbeing Cash Plan

Our Medical Cash Plan gives you cover for routine healthcare including optician check-ups, dental treatment, physiotherapy, acupuncture and specialist consultations to help you get quick access to diagnosis.

It also includes a range of benefits designed to help support your overall health and wellbeing, such as specialist scans and selected private package surgeries. This is a taxable employee benefit, the cost of which is met by the Federation.

Who is entitled to this benefit?

All employees on Harris contracts. You are automatically enrolled on your first day of employment.

 

Performance Bonuses and Harris Allowance

We offer discretionary performance bonuses depending on the responsibilities and experience of your position.

Harris Allowance - £2,000 (Inner London); £1,500 (Outer London)

Who is entitled to this benefit?

Teaching and Leadership staff

Attendance and Punctuality Bonus

£100 per term (up to £300 per annum) for staff with 100% attendance and punctuality (pro-rata for part time staff). Those who achieve 100% attendance and punctuality for a full academic year will receive a further £200 bonus.

Who is entitled to this benefit?

Employees who are in post, in the month following the end of the academic term (September, January and April each year).

Bicycle Purchase Loans

Our Bicycle Purchase Loan offers up to £1,000 through the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme.

Who is entitled to this benefit?

All employees who have successfully passed the probationary period

Exam Bonus

Academy staff who achieve their exam targets can receive up to £200 a year (pro-rata for part time staff and per full term completed).

Who is entitled to this benefit?

SLT, Teaching and Support Staff who are in post in the month following the end of the academic term (September, January and April each year).

 

Tapi Carpets Discount Scheme

Staff can get a 20% discount on all carpet and flooring merchandise at Tapi nationwide stores.  The discount does not apply to fitting.

All employees who have successfully passed the probationary period

Staff Loyalty Vouchers Scheme

To reward employees for their loyalty to Harris Federation, Marks & Spencer vouchers are awarded each year at Christmas:

  • £50 after two years’ service
  • £75 after three years’ service
  • £100 after five years’ service
  • £100 voucher bonus each year thereafter.

Who is entitled to this benefit?

All employees who are in post during December when vouchers are issued.

N.B. for TUPE transferred staff, service is counted from the academy’s opening date. However, two years’ service must be completed on a Harris contract. 

 

ICT Loans

We offer an interest free loan of up to £2,000 to purchase ICT equipment for personal use only. ICT loans are repayable over a 24-month period.

Childcare Vouchers

Participation in the Childcare Voucher Scheme, which converts taxable pay to tax free childcare vouchers.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

This provides cover for you and any immediate family members residing at your address, including children in full-time education.  The service provides access to:

  • Stress helpline
  • Structured telephone counselling
  • Face to face counselling referral
  • Serious illness and accident support referral
  • Tax advice
  • Legal advice (the EAP will not provide employment law advice)
  • Elderly care
  • Childcare
  • Medical information
